Take Looks: A Modern Display Font for Eye-Catching Campaigns
When I was designing the teaser graphic for a seasonal product launch, I needed a font that could grab attention without overwhelming the message. That’s when I discovered Take Looks, a modern and fancy display font perfect for posters, logos, magazines, book covers, banners, and many more. As a marketing designer, I’ve tested it across multiple platforms, and its versatility has made it a go-to choice for promotional visuals.
Take Looks for Instagram Posts and Social Media Graphics
Take Looks is a freebie font that brings a touch of elegance to digital content. When I used it for an Instagram post promoting a limited-time sale, the headline “Last Chance! 50% Off Ends Today” stood out beautifully against a pastel background. The font’s clean curves and playful yet professional look helped balance the excitement of the offer with the brand’s tone. It worked especially well in mobile previews, where readability and visual impact are crucial.
I paired Take Looks with a minimalist sans serif font for body text, which created a strong contrast and improved legibility. This combination kept the focus on the headline while ensuring the supporting details remained easy to read on both desktop and mobile devices.
Take Looks for YouTube Thumbnails and Reels Covers
Designing a YouTube thumbnail set for a new course launch, I wanted something that would stand out in fast-scrolling feeds. Take Looks fit perfectly for the title “Master Your Brand in 30 Days.” Its bold, decorative style caught the eye instantly, and the subtle variations in stroke weight added depth without cluttering the design.
The font also performed well on dark backgrounds, which is essential for video thumbnails. I found that using a lighter color for Take Looks on a dark backdrop gave the text a glowing effect, making it pop even on small screen sizes. For Reels covers, I used it as a decorative title with a simple callout below, ensuring the message was clear at a glance.
Take Looks for Banners and Website Headers
In a recent website redesign project, I incorporated Take Looks into the header for a boutique shop’s homepage. The phrase “Discover New Styles” became the focal point of the banner, drawing visitors in with its inviting and stylish appearance. The font’s modern feel aligned well with the brand’s aesthetic, reinforcing the idea of fresh, trendy products.
For landing page headers, I used Take Looks sparingly—only for main titles or calls to action. It didn’t work as well for long paragraphs or dense information, but it excelled when used as a decorative element. Pairing it with a clean sans serif font for subheadings and body text maintained a cohesive visual hierarchy.
Take Looks for Email Promotions and Digital Ads
When creating an email campaign for a flash sale, I used Take Looks in the subject line and header. The phrase “Huge Savings Inside!” was styled with this font and immediately grabbed attention. The soft, rounded edges of the typeface gave the email a friendly and approachable vibe, which matched the brand’s personality.
In digital ads, I experimented with different weights and colors of Take Looks to see how it performed on various platforms. On Facebook and Google Ads, the font looked great in larger sizes, especially when used with high-contrast colors. However, I avoided using it for smaller text or in areas with a lot of visual noise, as it could become hard to read.
Take Looks for Editorial Design and Magazine Layouts
As part of a magazine layout for a lifestyle brand, I used Take Looks for headlines and pull quotes. The font’s elegant style complemented the editorial tone, adding a sense of sophistication to the pages. It worked particularly well for feature titles like “The Art of Minimalism” and “Trends That Define Us,” where the font’s character brought a unique flair to the content.
I also tested Take Looks in print formats, and it held up well, maintaining clarity and quality even at smaller sizes. For designers looking to elevate their editorial designs, this font can be a valuable asset in creating visually engaging layouts that speak to the reader’s emotions and interests.
